ABOUT
Born in 1992, Samsun/Turkey. After graduating from the Samsun High School of Fine Arts, he studied for a Bachelor’s in Art Education at Bolu Abant İzzet Baysal University. During his Bachelor’s, he studied visual communication and design at Siauliai University in Lithuania. After returning from Lithuania, he completed his Master’s degree in Graphic Design at Bolu Abant İzzet Baysal University. In his interdisciplinary master’s thesis, he researched the effectiveness of digital illustrations in the development of social skills and was awarded a one-year research grant for his thesis. Finally, he graduated from Hacettepe University, defending his doctoral thesis on Augmented Reality and Museums.
Since 2019, he is regularly organizing BIAH international poster design competitions. Thousands of designers from nearly 50 countries apply to the competitions organized to raise awareness about social problems such as violence, the importance of water, and the protection of nature and addiction. He has participated over 100 competitions and exhibitions. He is also an honorary member of international graphic design associations in the China, Mexico, and Peru.
He worked in the graphic design office of Bolu Abant İzzet Baysal University, Rectorate unit. Currently, he is working as a Associate Professor in the Bolu Abant İzzet Baysal University Fine Arts Faculty, Graphic Design Department. Teaches graphic design, printmaking, calligraphy, and UI Design classes.

Intography
This technique was first applied by Hungarian artist Kerényi Zoltán in the reconstruction of film scenes and everyday life frames, and was later developed in Paris and America by Julien Knez and Karen O’Dell, among others, using similar approaches. However, in the Turkish context, Orhun Türker’s work is pioneering in terms of both defining the terminology and systematising archive search methods.
Orhun Türker is the first person in Turkey to systematically apply this technique and contribute it to the literature. His work, which spans from Samsun to Bolu, includes historical photographs from 1890 to 1975, which have been reimagined by combining them with contemporary images. Orhun Türker has attracted attention with his applications in this field since 2013, and he conceptualised the term Intography through his paper presented at the MadebyArtist 2 International Art and Education Symposium.
